Year 5.- The plants in our school yard

Steps
1. Choose a plant with your classmate to describe.
2. Decide what you are going to talk about: group, parts, functions of the different parts of the plant, the parts of the flowers and one or two processes in plants: reproduction, respiration and so on.
3.- Find out the correct information about your plant.
4.- Use these structures.-

  • This is my plant in our school yard
  • This plant is a ....(size, colour, evergreen, group, type of plant...)
  • Its name is ....
  • It is/ has / ...
  • It reproduces by ........
Remember!!
  • Take notes from for notebook to talk about it.
  • Point or touch the different parts when you describe them.
  • Practice a lot and decide who is talking about what.
